I am home!

Well after one week of the most incredible week of my life. I HAVE JET LAG! I am really not feeling so good today. I dont even know where to start. Hannah was wonderful. She is and has a sweet spot in our life. She was handed to me upon arrival and we parted at the airport. It is a shock to the system to have a baby again. I did not forget how much work they were so that was good. It was a lot of work too. It was fairly warm to me although cool to them right now. Most of the kids are sick with cold. At first Hannah did not know what to think of me and cryed. I was not prepared for that and felt really overwhelmed. It took her about 1/2 hour 45 minutes and she was fine. She has a serious look about her but when she smiles my heart would just for joy. Her little almond eyes would just smile too. I was with her long enough to see her little personality and it is strong. She really like to snuggle. I loved that. She really liked me to hold her. She got to where she cryed when I put her down. When I would pick her up she would give me a big smile. I told her she sure figured that out quick! I feel so blessed. You could see that she has Gods favor all over her. Her nanny takes really good care of her. I went exspecting her to be pretty independent and she is spoiled. :O) She is heavy and my arms hurt from carting her around. We slept together and I think that is the only thing that was a little different for her. She is really used to sleeping by herself. Utter pure joy is all I can say! I am truly thankfull!

When we arrived Vera and another Haitian woman Mulan picked us up. They did not have the kids because they had work to do so we were able to do running around with them for the afternoon. WOW is all I can say. They drive crazy there! honking the horns. Just crazy. We learned a lot that day about our processes. Things change in Haiti so fast. New people taking over offices and delay's one right after another. I was not able of file the paperwork on my visit and I was upset at first and then God told me why. I need to go back with my husband to file. We really have a more difficult time as americans adopting. The end passport stage is what I am trying to help go a different route. I was told by Vera that there are two offices that are doing this part. If you show proof that you and your spouse have seen the child then you go to one office if not then the other. The other is denying passports! After months of work your child becomes your in Haiti and then the US will say no! It does not make any since but that is the way it is. Our adoption coordinator is dealing with one right now. There is a senator and Haitian lawer involved to get this thing overturned. It is just months of struggle. I was told by Vera even if we just fly over and get pictures and leave that is fine, but she said it was highly recommended. So the big thing was telling my Husband this is what we need to do. Guess what, He really is not crazy about it but said he would do anything for her. I trust God and know that Hannah is comming to be with us I just don't know how long. We agreed that we did not want to risk being denied and it taking months more from us being together. I think we are praying about going on her birthday. March 13. that would be fun. We really got down to the timming with Vera and Mulan and we are looking at another year. I know if God wants, he could move things faster and that is our prayer. I have the most amazing peace about it all. God knows the perfect time for us.

I will never be the same. We as americans live a very blessed life! VERY!
Lets keep praying

Get Ready!!!

Well I have been packing and running around get all the last minute things. I dont want to forget anything. I think that I am ready. I spent the afternoon today running around looking for little kids sunglasses with no luck! Well I do live in the rain capital of the world. Oh well. I just thought they would be a cute picture. Last night I had to say my goodbuys to my husband. He is a fisherman and will not be home until the day after I leave. It has been a long time since I have been away from him for this long. I think that is going to be the hardest part for me. Kenny is my other half. Sometimes it just gets hard to breath without him. We have a great marriage! We give all the credit to our Lord! We are three.
I am excited to spend this next week with a new friend. Emma and I have been talking a lot on the phone. We have a lot in common and I think we are really just going to click.
We are going to stay 13th,14th, 15th, and 16th at the village with the kids. The 17th, 18th, and 19th in the Visa lodge. While at the lodge I hope to get online and share how things are going.
The 20th on my way home, it is going to be a really long day!
Pray for my family.
Pray for me...Pray for our paperwork. Pray that Hannah just molds into me.
I know that God has us prepared us for the long journey ahead with this. We pray that her visa and passport are issued before December 24th. (The sooner the better!) Everthing is just taking a long time over there. It seems like a hurry up and wait. We hope to be out of this office very soon then we have 4 to 5 more steps!
Thank you!
Love you
I cant wait to share pictures with you all!

Prayer Request Please!

Well we just found out that our adoption coordinator has to go to Peru!
She is going to pick us up from the airport and we only have her for one day to help us get the I600 filed. Please pray it all works out. If not I will have to go back again. That would not be so bad of a thing but it is the main reason we were going right now.
I am getting really excited today Sydney helped me and we packed the two big suitcases that are full of diapers, 19 cans of formula, clothes, gifts for my nanny that cares for Hannah, craft items so I can have fun with the kids, some food items all kinds of stuff. 86 lbs of stuff. I could go to 100 but I just dont think I could stuff any more in. I really want to take my laptop but am just not sure??? we will see.

All things are possible to the one in charge RIGHT??
