Well just as I thought it was too fast. The anticipation of going and leading up to the trip and poof it is over and a memory now. I have to say that it went really well. Kenny and I left Monday morning (in the snow!!) and everything went very smooth. We flew to Miami and arrived at 11:00 pm by the time we got to the hotel it was after midnight. We were up and on the shuttle back to the airport at 6:00 am. We were both very nervous! It is such a shock to the system at this point in the trip. I knew what to expect because of going in January. Kenny had such a good spirit about him. He never was short with me at all and I know that he was uncomfortable. We arrived in Haiti at 11:10 and just as I had expected all those Haitian people are so rude, pushy, and will just run you over in that airport if you let them. It took a while and we found all of our bags. One of my bags was NEW- and destroyed!! I prepared Kenny and we walked out of the airport. All these men walk up to you wanting to help, I told them NO! I don't need your help. Poor Kenny walking behind me was getting the same thing. He just told them no, I am with her... lol We quickly met someone that I recognized from before. His name was Sheri. With just a quick look around we spotted Barb driving up. Thank goodness! the part that I was stressing about the most and we were off.
We did some running around with Barb and she took us to lunch. Then off to get that sweet Hannah. She was sleeping when we arrived. I woke her up and he was good! Not grouchy at all. It took her a bit then was just fine. She really did not know what to think about Kenny. I don't think that she had ever seen a white man before.
Barb took us to met Lawanna a Nanny at the village. She is a wonderful woman. She cooked for us and was so sweet. The next day we were off with Barb to do what we had gone all that way for. We sat in that office for 3 hours is all. I know that is good considering we could have been there all day. There was another Haitian man with us going for his parent interview. He is adopting out his twins. We did our signing and the woman looked over our paperwork. She told me threw the glass window that our home study is approved for a child under the age of 3. She told me that I needed to understand that if the child turned 3 before coming home that I would need to have the home study updated. I told her I understood. She repeated herself as I did not understand. Barb and I looked at each other like what on earth! I sure hope that she comes home before she turns 3!! Barb could not believe what she was hearing. Then he had his interview. Everything about there system is just about what ever they feel like that day! The person doing the interview was not supposed to be able to do them. There was no recorder in the room. Barb said this is all done like that so they can just make things up if they want... When this man came out from the interview he was shaking his head. Sat down and hung his head. I was really wondering what happened in that room. Hannahs mother is going to have to go for her interview on the 30th. We need to pray for her. Why do these people want to make things so difficult.
Barb and I had a lot of time to talk about things. She told me she is no longer taking people from the US with BIO children. It is just too hard. I asked what was holding our paperwork up. We When I was in Haiti in January the president met with the director from the department we are being held up in and told her to let all these people WITH bio children to adopt these children. Well long story short. She wants it in writing. We have been waiting now for two months just for her to sign off of them. There was a meeting last week about the situation but Barb had not heard how it went. This woman is being so difficult! I asked Barb what is the oldest file she has in IBESR and she said April. We are the end of July. We just need to pray that this woman will stop this madness and sign. Barb told me our paperwork is ready for the steps ahead just need to get her to sign. SO we trust God and his timing. I know that he is in control. In his time right.
After that long day we went back to the village and had our birthday party. It was so much fun. The kids were so excited they were screaming. They went nuts. They all loved the gifts. Hannah loved the cake. It was fun.
The next morning we were up and off with Barb to do more running around. We had to leave Hannah because it was going to be easier for her later in the day. It was hard to leave. We had just gotten there. Kenny was awesome. He told me I did good. I cryed and just as we were leaving her I was introduced to Hannah's brother Charly. He was really looking at us. I wish I would have gotten a picture. :O( Oh well
Running around with Barb was a adventure. We really did not like some of the back streets we were on. Barb is an amazing woman. It was a very different trip than the first one. I have to say it was easier because I knew what to expect but it still was hard. Kenny said just look at there faces, they all look so angry. The look of despair ...... so much emotion.
We were very glad to get out of there. Now we would really know why we just need to keep the faith. If things are going to continue to get difficult then we have caught the tail end of something.
Lets pray that God will move our paperwork soon.
Hannah needs to come home with us!!

Look at that face!
